Look and Feel

As you expect from a slot from Elk Studios, they have produced a game that looks superb! The graphics are high quality with transparent reels to allow you to see the full drama of the game unfolding in front of you.

The reels are set against a dark street clustered with high-rise buildings and advertising boards. It’s kind of like an updated Robocop slot machine with added tech.

The music is tense and futuristic with a soundtrack that ramps up the tension and immerses you into the world of this dystopian slot.

Kaiju Game Play

Kaiju comes with three rows, five reels and a hefty 7,776 ways to win. It’s a slot that can be played across all devices.

The high-value icons are three gemstones in red, blue and green.

There are also three matching coloured credit cards.

The game’s Wild is the word Wild and subs for all icons except the Scatter Bonus symbol, the serious-faced android heroine.

Kaiju Laser Crazy!

This is an original game with some neat touches. When you line up three connected symbols vertically onto the reels (this can be diagonally), a laser light crackles over the icons and a Wild appears at the top of the reels, effectively expanding the grid. This little twist means more winning chances for you and these lasers are key in the bonus feature.

Battling Monster Free Spins

Land three of the Scatter icons on the middle reels 2, 3 and 4 and you activate the free spins bonus. This kicks off with a generous seven free spins to get things started.

This might be when you need to be on your “A” Game as you will have a new set of reels with one of three randomly selected “Kaiju” monsters to beat.

During this mode, each monster can be defeated by triggering “hot spots” using nifty vertical lasers that you will have seen in the base game.

If you get Wilds, these expand the reels upwards, awarding an additional free spin as they do so, and the expanded reel sticks around for the rest of the spins. Get those hot spots and beat the Kaiju. When they are defeated, they reward you with sticky Wilds that can make for some nice wins.

Conclusion

As I expected, the Kaiju slot has fantastic looks and plenty of tech and imagination. This is an atmospheric slot with some innovative features.

Careful, though as this is a pretty volatile game. For me, this game is all about the monster battle feature. Those sticky Wilds can be quite lucrative if your luck is in.
