DaVinci Diamonds Game Play

DaVinci Diamonds is a unique game along the lines of Gems, which you may have come across.

You’ll notice they have borrowed some ideas from Tetris.

We’ll explain: rather than the reels spinning, they fall down from from above, and if you get a winning combination, the symbols dissolve, and other symbols tumble down from above, giving you more opportunities to win.

When you get into the bonus round, the winnings can start to stack up – it’s a highly entertaining game that is fun to play.

Volatile

This is a medium variance slot, so you can go through dry periods, but if you are lucky enough to hit a hot spot, you can make some decent coin on this game: one of a range of great games from IGT along with the Siberian Storm Slot and Kitty Glitter.

In terms of where to play, there are a number of good IGT casinos, but we’d recommend Virgin Slots.

Diamonds are DaVinci’s Best Friend

The bonus round (free spins) is what make this game so exhilarating. The free spins the game dishes out can be as little as 6, but when you get on a streak (they may re-trigger), you get onto a nice run- which can mean a nice win!

IGT claim that the free spins can go up to 300. We’ll take their word for it- we haven’t seen anything past around 100 personally, but that was a nice 10 minutes in any case.

The tumbling reels feature makes for a nice change too. Some people don’t like it (slots purists I guess who´d be better off on a more traditional IGT game like Wolf Run), but personally speaking, we enjoy this and we love the “dissolving” feature.

When the symbols tumble into winning combos, it’s a great adrenaline boost.

Tumbling Reels Feature

This game is not for everyone, but we love it. The DaVinci Diamonds slot has “Gems” or “Tetris” style to it with the reels falling from above. When you get a winning combination, the winning symbols dissolve, or “pop” and more symbols drop in from above to replace them- meaning you can bag extra wins.

There are plenty of slots that do this now (Gonzo’s Quest is another example), but it was IGT and Davinci Diamonds that were in the vanguard.

Free Spins Bonus

There is a free spins round on the DaVinci Diamonds slot machine, which is set off by landing 3 bonus symbols on Reels 1, 2 and 3 on an enabled pay-line: you get 6 free spins.

Remember that this slot is medium variance so expect periods when the slot just goes cold in terms of action, but if you can budget your bankroll to soak up these leaner periods, things can get pretty crazy if your luck comes in.

Initially, you get a modest six free spins, but you can trigger more during the course of the round, up to a maximum of 300. All lines are activated, and more Bonus symbols mean more spins.

The wild card on Da Vinci Diamonds says “wild” on it, (easy!). There are 3 scatters: the Priceless Fine Art Symbols.

Summary

The DaVinci Diamonds slot was also one of the first slots, by IGT or any other manufacturer, to incorporate tumbling reels. When a win occurs, those symbols disappear and the next ones up on the reels drop down in their place, potentially increasing winning combinations.

There is no limit to how many tumbles can take place and it is certainly one of the most entertaining aspects of this slot.
